Saturday 13th 11.00 a.m. Delta Sensory Gardens Carlow - Booking Essential
Visit during Daffodil week with 10,000 flowers & numerous varieties on show.
Facilities - Refreshments, Plants for sale, Full Wheelchair access.
Cost - 4 euros Members & Visitors
Directions - Meeting at 10.30 am at the Dolmen Hotel, Old Waterford Road Carlow. (in own transport).
April.
Saturday 17th Afternoon visit Time: 2.00 pm Plant Swap
Peter & Angie Lojewski's Garden Woodstown Co Waterford.
Angie & Peter offered the club this wonderful opportunity for members to come
together, in the setting of their lovely country garden, to swap any surplus flower, vegetable and fruit plants, surplus seeds and divided herbaceous perennials and shrubs.

Meeting at the Saratoga Pub, Woodstown Beach Front, Woodstown at 1.40 pm

Saturday 24th 2.00 pm Tourin Gardens, Cappoquin
This is a 5 acre garden overlooking the River Blackwater, with collections of rhododendrons, camellias & magnolias. A walled garden contains flowers for cutting, fruit, vegetables & herbs.
Cost:- Members €10.00 – Visitors €12.00 - includes refreshments.
Directions:- Meeting at 1.45 pm at Sports Field, Cappoquin – (this is on the N72 road into Cappoquin, coming from Dungarvan)

Saturday 15th 11.00 am Salterbridge Gardens, Cappoquin
Salterbridge Victorian House and Gardens are located between Cappoquin & Lismore. This delightful 5 acre garden has a collection of special trees including Cork Oak & 4 large Yews with an interesting collection of Rhododendrons, Camellias & a variety of other shrubs and plants.
Cost:- Members €8.00 ea. – Visitors €10.00 ea - includes refreshments
Then onto:- Ballyin Gardens, Lismore 2.00 pm
This attractive garden covers 6 acres, on grounds sloping down to the river with beautiful views across the meadows. It contains a large collection of rhododendrons, camellias & azaleas - with an interesting collection of old mature trees, many with American origin.
Cost:-_ Members €5.00 ea. – Visitors €7.00 ea
Directions:- For Both Gardens - Meeting at 10.30 am at Sports Field, Cappoquin - this is on the N72 road into Cappoquin, coming from Dungarvan).
MAY Thursday 27th 7.00 pm Mary & Paddy Tobin’s Garden,
Gracedieu, Waterford
We are delighted to be given this opportunity to visit their beautifully designed garden. Both Mary & Paddy are very knowledgeable gardeners and have amassed a wealth of plants, usual & unusual over time. In recent times they have also added a very well designed and maintained fruit & vegetable garden.
Cost:- Members €5.00 ea – Visitors €7.00 ea – includes refreshments (all proceeds will be donated to charity)

June Saturday 12th 2.00 pm Kilmokea Gardens, Campile,
Co. Wexford
The gardens cover 7 acres and fall into two distinct parts, the formal walled garden, featuring the Italian logia & pool, the woodland garden with its exciting display of exotic plants, rhododendrons, camellias etc.
Cost:- Members & Visitors €6.00 ea – Facilities include craft shop, café, plant sales, wheelchair access & car park. Lunches can be arranged by request.
Directions:- From New Ross take road R733(note not R735). After 3 miles turn right & follow signs ‘Kilmokea Gardens. After a further 3 miles , as you drive out of an ‘S’ bend, turn right at garden signpost. You will reach Kilmokea after 2 miles.
July Saturday 3rd 2.00 pm Anne Cullen’s Garden, Ballinaboley,
Kilmacow. Co. Kilkenny
Our club member Anne is inviting all fellow Club Members to visit her 1 acre country garden in Kilmacow Her main area of interest is in growing a variety of Vegetables & Fruit. The garden has a poly- tunnel, small pond, gravel garden & a variety of beds containing herbaceous, shrubs and trees in natural county surroundings.
Directions: Meeting in the car-park, to the rear of Kilmacow village church at 1.45 pm (the church is situated at a Y junction, take the left hand road to the car park at the rear)
July: July Reminder: Sunday 4th at 2pm: Audrey & James McGuire’s Ballymoat Gardens & Vintage Farm Machinery exhibition. In aid of Dunhill Community. This National award winning, 2 acre garden in delightful rural setting, includes many special features – trees, shrubs, herbaceous borders, waterfall, stream & pond. Plant sales & refreshments.

to Helen Dillon’s Garden, Dublin & National Garden Exhibition Centre
Aug. Saturday 7th 11.00 am Ballymaloe Cookery School Gardens
Shanagarry, Midleton, Co. Cork
This garden belongs to well known Darina Allen and consists of organic gardens, vegetables, herbs, fruits old orchard, maze & shell house.
Cost:- €5.00 ea for garden visit. We could have lunch there also. (Marie)
Directions:- Travel by own Car. (Mini bus can be arranged if we have sufficient Numbers) Go to Castlemartyer village. Church on right hand side entering the village. Proceed to traffic lights, take a left hand turn and park on the left hand side
