Our monthly meetings take place in the Waterford Crystal Sports & Social Centre, Cork Rd, Waterford:

Lecture by John Delaney, Head Gardener of Woodstock Gardens & Arboretum, Inistioge
on Roses and Woodstock Estate.
March 19 - Thursday 8pm
Lecture by Cees de Snoo of Pets & Ponds, Dungarvan,
on Ponds, Fish & Plants.
April 16 - Thursday 8pm
Practical Demonstration: by Phil Doyle, Wilton Gardens, Enniscorthy
on Containers & Container Gardening.
May 7 - Thursday 8pm
Illustrated Lecture: by Orla Mullen, on "euphorbias" for all areas of your garden.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the club's May lecture is cancelled.

APRIL
Saturday 4th April Afternoon visit Time: 2.30 pm
Noreen & Oliver Carroll’s Garden, Kilmacthomas
By kind invitation - a first-time visit to Club member’s Noreen & Oliver’s cleverly designed 3 tiered ½ acre garden, to see new season Camellias & Rhododendrons, spring bulbs, water feature, bog garden, shrubs & herbaceous perennials.
Meeting at Ballylaneen Church at 2.15 pm - from the Cork Rd. at Kilmeaden turn left at the Sweep Garage, take the road to Kill - carry on through Kill village to Ballylaneen.
Admission: Club members Free of Charge - Non-members €5.00 - includes refreshments
Sunday 26th April Afternoon visit Time: 2.30 pm
Maureen Hales Garden, Lismore
Following on from Maureen’s delightful talk with excellent slides of her plants & garden, given to our club in March 2008 - she has now offered us the opportunity of a first-time visit to her garden.
Meeting at the Lismore Hotel Car Park at 2.15 pm - Hotel situated on left hand side as you enter Lismore town
Admission: Members € 5.00 - Non-members € 7.00 - includes refreshments.

Saturday 2nd May Afternoon visit Time: 2.30 pm
Camphill Community, Thomastown
Our club has been very kindly given the opportunity to visit this wonderful community that contributes so much by working with people with special needs & disabilities. We will visit the extensive Vegetable, Fruit & Herb garden, where many varieties of fruit, veg. & herbs are grown & also the small holding with chickens & milking cows.
Meeting at 2.00 pm in Ballyhale Village, Co. Kilkenny (N9 Waterford - Thomastown Road)
Wednesday 13th May Evening visit Time: 7.00 pm
Catherine Griffin’s Garden, Dunmore East
Club member Catherine has very kindly giving us the opportunity again to visit her beautifully situated developing garden
Meeting at the public Park in Dunmore East at 6.45 pm (opposite the Haven Hotel)
Admission: Members € 5.00 - Non-members € 7.00 - includes refreshments.

Thursday 28th May Evening Visit Time: 6.30 pm
Iris & John Riley’s Garden, Portnahully, Carrigeen
Club member’s Irish & John are affording us the opportunity to visit their very attractively situated & designed award-winning garden, which over the last number of years, with great care & attention has developed beautifully. A must-see at this time of year is the Laburnum walk & the garden overall contains many lovely features & unusual plants.
Meeting at 6.15 pm on the Limerick Road at Grannagh Business Complex (Dawn Meats)
Admission: Members € 5.00 - Non-members € 7.00 - includes refreshments.
All proceeds to Irish & John’s selected charities.
Sunday 7th June Afternoon visit Time: 2.30 pm
Julia Murphy’s Garden, Annestown
Club member Julia has kindly given us the opportunity to visit her beautifully designed & established coastal garden, offering wonderful views of the sea & coastline in that area & a warm welcome.
Meeting at 2.15 pm at Annestown beach car-park
Admission: Free of charge Visit confined to Club members only Refreshments
Saturday 20th June Afternoon visit Time: 2.30 pm
Mary & Joes Johannes Garden, Ardfinnan, Clonmel
Following on from our club’s very enjoyable visit to Mary & Joe’s garden in August 2008, it was agreed that we would visit again at this time of year to experience more of what this garden has to offer the visitor. This is a 5 year old 1 acre country garden with amazing views of Knockmealdown & Galtee mountains. Mostly designed with extensive use of gravel, incorporating lawn & rock, features including pergola walk, sunken garden, water feature, Japanese bridge and herbaceous & shrubs.
Meeting at Ardfinnan Church at 2.00 pm
Admission: € 9.00 includes refreshments. All proceeds to CARE (Cancer Aftercare)
Open-day Sunday5th July - in aid of the Hospice - from 2.00 to 5.00 pm
National award winning 2 acre garden in delightful rural setting. Includes many special features - trees, shrubs, herbaceous borders, unusual plants, waterfall,stream & pond.
Location: From Cork Rd at Kilmeaden, take left-hand turn for Kill at Sweep Garage - then take first left and follow the signs for the garden.
Admission: € 5.00 - includes refreshments Plant Sales
Sunday 12th July Coach Outing to Limerick Gardens

Saturday 25th July Afternoon visit Time: 2.00 pm
Orla & Paul Woods - Kilmurry Nursery & Gardens, Gorey
A great opportunity to perhaps find that special herbaceous perennial you have always wanted but could never find before! - also, new varieties are being added all the time to their stock.
The nursery, specialising in Herbaceous Perennials, was established in 2001 by Orla & Paul. They have become Silver & Gold Award Winners since 2002 to-date, at flower shows in the U.K. & Ireland.
